Baby Pictures

We had a surprise ultrasound today to double check the babies heartbeats. The doctor first tried listening with the fetal Doppler thing, but it was very difficult to tell if we heard to distinct heartbeats or just the same one a few times. I had wondered going into this appointment how that would work exactly and apparently if their heartbeats are too similar it is quite difficult. so to be on the safe side we jumped into the ultrasound room for a quick check. It was fun to get to see the babies again, especially since they are looking much more babylike than the last time we saw them. Their heartbeats were both good, somewhere around 150 for each of them. It really is amazing the view that technology gives us inside the womb. I love the reassurance a glimpse of our growing babies gives me that they are doing well. And what a miracle to see not just one but two babies sharing one womb. Even though I see it, it seems to unbelievable to me. Here are their latest pictures. You'll probably notice that one baby is more clear than the other, that is just due to their positions. The second one is sorta sitting behind the first which makes it hard to get a good angle with the ultrasound.

This is a picture of both babies. You can see the profile of the one on the left, head to mid-torso and more or less looking down over the one on the right.

This is Baby A...the one from the left in the first picture.

This is Baby B...the one from the right in the first picture. This is the one that is typically harder to see.
